Holiday Announced Tomorrow (Tuesday): Tarn Taran By-Election on November 11

In view of the by-election for the Tarn Taran Assembly Constituency, a public holiday has been declared on November 11, 2025.

According to the order issued by District Magistrate Rahul, this holiday has been declared under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, Section 135B of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958 (Punjab Act No. 15 of 1958), and the Factories Act, 1948.

The paid holiday will apply to all government and non-government offices, banks, institutions, factories, and shops within Assembly Constituency 021 – Tarn Taran.

The District Magistrate stated that, as per the directions of the Election Commission of India, this holiday aims to ensure that all voters of the constituency can exercise their right to vote.

He further clarified that this paid leave will be applicable to all employees working in industrial units, commercial establishments, shops, and other organizations within the Tarn Taran Assembly Constituency.
